Cedar Sink TrailHead

Cedar Sink trail is one of the many walking trails in Mammoth Caves that has incredible views!

The hike is only a 1.7 mile trip that include stairs that will lead to a few sinkholes. On the website it says it has a total of 295 stairs.

Service animals and pets are allowed! We walked our puppy and while she loved the trails, didn’t much care for the metal stairs.

No reservations needed and there are a few benches along the route. I hope you enjoy these pictures that we took!

Note: these photos were taken on January 1st.

Cedar Sink Trailhead at Mammoth Cave Parking

This is the only parking lot for the trail. There’s no markings on the ground so we parked at an angle.

Cedar Sink Trail Entrance

Entrance of the trail and a map is included. There’s only one way throughout the trail and towards the middle is where the stairs are to see the sinkholes as it loops.
