Ombre Brow Training
I had my brows done at Jin Beauty Brows last year and the idea of becoming a permanent makeup artist was really intriguing! Fast forward a year later, I went to her to train me!
Jin was very helpful in answering all of my questions. The fact that there were only two of us students made it easier for her to spend more time with us and train us.
The Ombre brow training is a 2-day class, often times on Saturdays and Sundays. The class time starts from 9AM to anywhere from 5-7 (Depending on how fast and smooth the class goes and how many students are in it).
Day 1 of the class consisted of the following:
Registration, the rest of the payment due, introduction, and practice brow shaping on paper then with the tattoo gun on a skin like sheet.
Day 2 was all about hands on training and practice! First, she had a client in the morning. We watched the entire process and she allowed us to record videos. After our lunch break we performed on a live model.
After that there was a presentation on consent forms, before/after care, product and supplies resources, business ethics, licenses and marketing strategies.
The total cost of the class is $1999. In order to reserve your spot, you need to make a $300 deposit and that is non-refundable.
Now, I live in MI and Jin’s salon is in WI. I ended up renting a car for 3 days and getting a hotel room for 2 nights. The hotel cost and car rentals were about $600. So keep that in mind too if you’re going to take a class that’s far away and you can’t take your own vehicle. One thing you can do is have someone go with you to split the cost.
